This is the most impressive temple of them all—what some Egyptologists consider the eighth wonder of the Ancient World. The temples of Ramses II and Nefertari stand on the shores of Lake Nasser, south of Aswan. Venture inside and marvel at the four colossal statues towering above the entrance. If you prefer to travel by road, early morning departures are available. You can choose between a private car or a shared bus. As seating is limited, we recommend booking early to secure your spot and avoid missing out on this truly magnificent experience.

Overview

  • At 4:00 AM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel or cruise ship in Aswan and drive towards Abu Simbel (280 km from Aswan), which takes approximately 3 hours. You will visit the site of the most famous temples of King Ramses II and his wife, the Nubian Queen Nefertari. Enjoy one of the greatest monuments of ancient Egypt, representing the splendor of architecture and sculpture during the era of the Pharaohs, overlooking Lake Nasser. You will return to Aswan by 1:00 PM.
